CTR, CPC, ROI..what what and what? 

In order to have a successful online ad, you need to have a couple goals. 1.) keep the cost per click (CPC) low 2.) have high click through rates (CTR) 3.) have high conversions (people who click and actually purchase).

I know, it seems like you need to hit the trifecta with this one, but here are some tips from Marin and BoostCTR for PPC (pay per click) advertising:

 

Get multiple writers to write for the same ad group. This allows you to test multiple perspectives simultaneously

Use DKI (dynamic keyword insertion) in headlines

ex: {Keyword: Free Games} vs Free Games

Try stronger “action” phrases like, ‘search in seconds’ or ‘instantly’

Change the focus to user benefits to answer the question, “What’s in it for me?”

Use an ad group optimizer
